The Creature Conservancy, located at 4940 Ann Arbor-Saline Road, Ann Arbor, MI, is open to the public on weekends from 12 pm to 5 pm. Small private events, private tours, and educational programs are available by advance reservation only. You are welcome to visit the outside area free of charge - donations are encouraged!

There is a limited capacity for the alligator training. Tickets will be available in the gift shop during your visit. Since the alligator training is outdoors, it is weather dependent.
Avian Encounters
September 21st 7-9pm Ages 16+
Preregistration is Required $30/person
Join us for a unique experience where you will meet an amazing ensemble of avian ambassadors. Not only will you have the chance to encounter avian residents of The Creature Conservancy, but also those visiting from Nature’s Nursery located in Whitehouse, Ohio.

This is an opportunity for adults to enjoy an Open Hours’ program with more in depth information. The animals are the same as those that will appear for the rest of the month.

Preregistration is Required $40/person
Unleash your inner artist! You will meet Joker, our black vulture, face to feather. Learn about black vultures from one of our wildlife educators. Then create your very own painting of a black vulture with the help of our featured local artist, Mary Lewison. All supplies and instruction will be provided. Bring your own snacks and drinks.

Creatures & Tea
This special autumn event for adults (18+) includes an animal presentation featuring a skunk, eagle owl, desert tortoise, hairy armadillo, and black-throated monitor. Admission to Open Hours following the tea party is included.

Don’t miss out on this spooktacular affair! Join us for our annual Halloween event, where you’ll encounter an array of creepy crawlies and fascinating animals. The fun begins in the building adjacent to the picnic tables for donuts and cider prior to the animal program. Experience the thrill of witnessing the free flight of Egyptian fruit bats each night in the main building.

Birthdays & More!
We are excited to offer birthday parties and small celebrations! Currently, parties and small group events are offered on weekends at 11am or 3pm for participants from ages 7 to 107!

Participants must be at least 10 years old for a full private tour which includes the opportunity to feed a sloth, tortoises, muntjac deer, and the African crested porcupines. Modified private family tours, which do not include animal feeding opportunities, are available for younger families. Click on the picture for more information and to request a tour. Private Reptile Tour
Join us for an opportunity to meet members of our reptile family up close! You’ll be able to feed a chameleon, and touch many others such as: a Gila monster, a 13-foot Burmese python, and cane toads.
