Spend your Saturday night getting creative with one of our most unforgettable residents!

This special block printing night is inspired by Gila, our Gila monster, and blends hands-on art with an up-close wildlife experience. You’ll start the evening by meeting Gila and learning about her species, adaptations, and story here at The Creature Conservancy.

From there, local artist Brian Fritz will guide you step-by-step through the block printing process. You’ll learn how prints are made, experiment with ink and paper, and create up to five finished prints to take home.

No prior art experience is needed—blocks are pre-designed, and all materials are provided. Just bring your favorite snacks and non-alcoholic drinks and enjoy a relaxed, creative night surrounded by animals and great company.

Join us for a cozy winter night of animals and cookies at The Creature Conservancy. We’ll start the evening with a short, up-close presentation featuring Jill, our muntjac deer, where you’ll learn about these tiny deer and what makes them so unique.

After meeting Jill, you’ll decorate winter-themed cookies inspired by some of our animal residents, with step-by-step instruction from a professional cookie artist. The cookie decorating portion takes about an hour, and depending on the pace of the group, the event itself may wrap up before the full three hours.

All decorating supplies are included. Feel free to bring snacks and nonalcoholic drinks.

Join us for a unique evening where art meets wildlife!

This special event will feature Danny, our youngest clouded leopard, as the inspiration for our very first block printing workshop.

After meeting Danny and learning about his story, you’ll be guided by local artist Brian Fritz through the creative process of block printing. From carving linoleum blocks to inking, proofing, and printing, you’ll create up to five prints of your own to take home.

No experience is required—our blocks will be pre-printed with the design, and all materials are included. Just bring your favorite snacks and non-alcoholic drinks for a relaxed night of creativity, animals, and community.

Join us for Predator & Prey (Sept 12-13), a fun and educational 18+ wildlife event that brings you up close to some of nature’s most fascinating relationships. Explore our facility and watch Danny, the clouded leopard, Kiwi, the Burmese python, and Sven, the reindeer, as they move across the Stone Stage. At 7 PM you will have a half hour to explore the facility and starting at 7:30 PM, enjoy an engaging presentation that dives into the unique dynamics between predator and prey. It’s a one-of-a-kind opportunity to learn about these incredible animals and see their natural behaviors in action, all while having a great time. Don’t miss out on this unforgettable experience!
