Captive Breeding at The Creature Conservancy

A few of the species residing at The Creature Conservancy actively breed. The following animals participate in regional breeding programs with other institutions for placement in educational programs.

Two-Toed SLoth

Two-toed sloths born at The Creature Conservancy can be viewed at the Binder Park Zoo, the Columbus Zoo, & several other local conservation organizations.

Southern Three-banded armadillo

Three-banded armadillos are excellent education animals for classroom presentations. Active and gregarious, they demonstrate many adaptations such as hard protective armor and claws to aid in foraging for insects.
