The Creature Conservancy is able to take many of our animals to libraries, nature centers, churches, schools, universities and other community gathering points within Washtenaw County during the weekdays. We also create cool programs for corporate events by bringing our "zoo" to you!

We offer two options when we bring our animals to your location. We can give an active presentation for a seated audience at your venue with some of our larger animal ambassadors or we can set up a stationary display of smaller animals if that is more appropriate for your event. 

How big an audience can you do a presentation for? The venue, age of participants and the animals chosen all affect the size of the group we can accommodate. With large groups, the normal hands-on interactions are typically eliminated and “Q & A” time will be limited. 

Can you come to our outdoor event?  For the health and safety of the animals, we only present indoors when we travel to other locations.

Are all of your animals available to travel? Some of our animals are not able to travel off-site; the list on the Event Planner shows those most likely to be available for your presentation. Please keep in mind that not all venues are suitable for every animal. We will work with you to choose the animals that can safely travel and be presented in your particular setting.

 When can we schedule a visit by the Conservancy’s animals? We do not schedule programs December through February because of the potential for poor road conditions. During other months, we can schedule events on weekdays. Scheduling well in advance is recommended, as our calendar fills quickly. 

What is the cost for these events? The cost of a one hour program for schools and other small non-profits is $450. For universities, colleges, and corporate events the cost is $540.

Do we get a refund if we have to cancel? If you cancel more than three weeks before the event, you will receive a full refund; after that, you will receive a 50% refund. Canceling week of will not will not allot a refund. If your program needs to be postponed, we can accommodate one change of date (contingent on calendar availability). If a secondary date cannot be finalized or honored, we will refund 50% of the program fee.
